Design to support Music

Dear visitor,
This page is a proposal to create a professional and easy to administrate website for a great musician. Please read on if you are the one!
Question #1. Why do I need a website?
~ It’s a good idea to have a dedicated resource to keep all major information, sample music tracks and promo kit under one roof. It’s extremely useful for listeners, journalists and local tour promoters.
Hi again, here is Max Micheliov (mmdesign) – a freelance web designer, illustrator, journalist and music fan. Looking for ways to combine my passion for design and music (mainly jazz and free improvisation) I came to a striking in its simplicity idea – offering my skills and expertise to musicians.
A presentation of music especially non-commercial genres on the web is very poor in many cases. For a musician finding an affordable while experienced web designer is not an ordinary task because in everyday life their paths do not cross any often.
Design to support music!
The good news: mmdesign is here to offer an inexpensive quality solution for small/medium music website ~ my motto is: “design to support music”!
It’s my pleasure to present the accomplished projects (see the screenshots below) - websites built for grands of modern improvised scene:
- www.triox.org - Joe McPhee, Dominic Duval, Jay Rosen (Trio X)
- www.dominicduval.com - Dominic Duval
- www.joemcphee.com - Joe McPhee
- www.hilliardgreene.com - Hilliard Greene
- www.klauskugel.com - Klaus Kugel
- www.nobusinessrecords.com - NoBusiness Records
- www.michaeljefrystevens.com - Michael Jefry Stevens
Testimonials
~ Michael Jefry Stevens:
I had been searching for someone to help me re-build my web site. What incredible luck (fate) to find Max. He told me he could help me at a very reasonable price but that it would take about 6 months because he was working on several other musician web sites. Yes, Max is interested in supporting jazz musicians by helping them modernize their websites at a fraction of the cost we would have to pay in Western Europe or the United States. On a jazz musicians’ budget this is like a "gift from heaven"...
Thanks Max. What a stroke of luck to have you as my friend!!! Read more

Currently mmdesign is working on:
- Website for a saxophonist Marco Eneidi is in planing stage.
- Website for a pianist Anthony Coleman is in early development stage.
Question #2. What exactly is being offered?
- Development of the unique, personal, clear, easy to navigate interface (front-end design)
- Setting up a database with administration interface (a musician can add tour info, update discography, add a CD review, etc as fast and easy as writing an e-mail)
More technically mmdesign is:
- Maxim Micheliov: design/illustration (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator), flash animation (Macromedia Flash), coding (HTML, CSS), programming (JS, PHP, MySQL), SEO (search engine optimization if desired)
- with support of Alexey Romanovskij (CSS-Framework) – advanced coding (HTML, CSS)...
- and Peter Gannushkin (downtownmusic.net) – outstanding photo materials.
Please contact me at maxim@micheliov.com should you have any questions or ready to start communication about building a website.
All the best and thank You for the Music!
